1. Agreement and who we are

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites and the products published by THIS IS WHY Product (“we”, “us”), both free and paid (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

Our products today are the free TIW Dashboard and the paid TIW Dashboard Pro WordPress plugins. As we release new products, they become part of the Services and these Terms apply to them too.

Each paid product is additionally covered by its own End User License Agreement (EULA), hosted by our merchant of record, Freemius, Inc., and linked at checkout. For example: the TIW Dashboard Pro EULA. If these Terms and a product’s EULA ever conflict on a purchase or licensing matter, the EULA prevails.

2. What the Services are

• Free products: open-source WordPress plugins, released under the GPLv2 or later license and also distributed through the WordPress.org plugin directory (example: TIW Dashboard).
• Paid products: add-ons and upgrades that unlock extra features while a valid license is active (example: TIW Dashboard Pro).
• Our websites: product pages, support channels and your customer account area on thisiswhy.id and its subdomains.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• You are responsible for keeping your account and license keys confidential, and for what happens under them.
• Tell us at hello@thisiswhy.id if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Purchases, subscriptions and renewals

• Checkout, payment processing, taxes, invoicing and license delivery for every paid product are handled by Freemius, Inc., our merchant of record. Your purchase confirmation and receipts come from Freemius.
• Paid plans are sold as annual subscriptions that renew automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases; an active subscription keeps its renewal price even if our prices change later.
• You manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your customer portal. A renewal reminder email is sent as a courtesy, but your own calendar is the safest reminder.
• When a subscription ends or a license expires, the paid features lock again. Your settings stay saved on your site, nothing is deleted, and our free products keep working.

5. Refunds

Every paid purchase is covered by our Refund Policy: a 14-day window, a full refund when a defect makes the product’s material functions unusable and support cannot resolve it, and clear rules for renewals and upgrades. The product’s EULA contains the full legal wording and prevails on any conflict.

6. Your license and acceptable use

• Our plugin code is open source under GPLv2 or later. Your purchase buys the license key service: activation allowance, automatic updates and support, sized by your plan (for example 1 site, 5 sites, or unlimited).
• Only activate a license key on the number of sites your plan allows, and do not share, resell or publish your key.
• White-label features exist so agencies can rebrand the admin for their own clients, that use is fully allowed. Claiming the plugin itself as your own product, or removing its license code to resell it, is not.
• Do not probe or overload our licensing servers, or use the Services for anything unlawful.

7. Updates and support

• Product updates are included while your license stays active and install from your WordPress dashboard.
• Support is available to customers with an active license via the contact page or hello@thisiswhy.id. Found a bug? The bug report page has a checklist that helps us fix it faster.
• We aim to answer quickly and kindly, but we cannot promise an exact response time or that every request is solvable.

8. Intellectual property

The TIW name, logo, our websites’ design and their content belong to THIS IS WHY Product. Our free plugin source code is yours to read, modify and redistribute under its GPLv2 or later license, but our brand assets are not part of that license: do not present our trademarks as your own.

9. Website conduct

• No scraping, spamming, or automated abuse of our websites.
• No attempts to break, reverse or bypass the checkout, account or license systems.
• Feedback and bug details you send us may be used to improve the products, without any payment obligation.

10. Third-party services

The Services touch a small number of third parties: Freemius for selling and licensing, and our hosting providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their side of the process. What data flows where is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep them reliable, compatible and secure, but we cannot guarantee they will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every theme, plugin or hosting setup out there.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost profits, lost data, lost business) arising from the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may adjust these Terms when products or laws change. The current version always lives on this page with its “Last updated” date, and applies from the moment it is published.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these Terms: contact page or hello@thisiswhy.id.
