1. Agreement and who we are

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites and the products published by THIS IS WHY Product (“we”, “us”), both free and paid (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

Our products today are the free TIW Dashboard and the paid TIW Dashboard Pro WordPress plugins. As we release new products, they become part of the Services and these Terms apply to them too.

Each paid product is additionally covered by its own End User License Agreement (EULA), hosted by our merchant of record, Freemius, Inc., and linked at checkout. For example: the TIW Dashboard Pro EULA. If these Terms and a product’s EULA ever conflict on a purchase or licensing matter, the EULA prevails.

2. The 14-day promise

If, during the first 14 days after your purchase date, you experience a defect that makes the product’s material functions unusable, and after your cooperation with our support team we are unable to resolve it, then upon your request we will issue a full refund of the purchase price.

3. What does not count as a defect

• Third-party conflicts: a defect or loss of use caused by a conflict or incompatibility with other software (a theme, another plugin, or a hosting setup) is not covered by this policy.
• Missing features: the product not having a feature you hoped for is not a defect.
• Change of mind: once the 14-day window has passed, purchases are final.

That said, tell us what went wrong anyway. A quick message often turns a “not covered” problem into a solved one.

4. What does not restart the refund window

These actions do not count as a new purchase and do not open a new 14-day refund right:

• Upgrading an existing purchase: more license activations on the same plan, moving from one plan to another, or switching billing cycles.
• Buying a new additional license under an existing plan.

5. Renewal payments

Paid plans renew automatically each year. Renewal payments are not refundable, so if you do not wish to continue, cancel the subscription before the renewal date from your customer portal at customers.freemius.com.

A reminder email is attempted about 30 days before each renewal as a courtesy, but it can land in spam or never arrive. You alone are responsible for cancelling in time, so a personal calendar reminder is the safest option.

6. How to request a refund

• Email hello@thisiswhy.id or use the contact page from the email address you purchased with.
• Include your order or license details and describe the defect you are hitting.
• Our support team will first try to fix the problem with you; that cooperation is part of the 14-day promise. If we cannot resolve it, the refund is yours.

Approved refunds are processed by Freemius back to your original payment method. The exact arrival time depends on your bank or payment provider.

7. What happens after a refund

• The refunded license is deactivated, and the paid features lock again on your sites.
• Your settings stay saved and nothing is deleted from your site. Our free products keep working as usual.
• You are welcome back anytime with a fresh purchase.

8. Fair use

This policy exists to protect honest customers, not to enable abuse. We may decline a refund in clear abuse patterns, such as repeated buy-and-refund cycles across our products.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our products or sales terms change. The current version always lives on this page with its “Last updated” date, and applies from the moment it is published. The wording that was live on your purchase date governs your purchase.
